Jessica is running for Lewis County Coroner with a clear mission: to bring compassion, professionalism, and a focus on prevention to the office. She understands that behind every case is a family, a story, and a community impacted by loss.

Jessica's priorities include:

Treating every individual and family with compassion, dignity, and respect
Strengthening collaboration with first responders and community partners
Supporting prevention efforts to reduce avoidable deaths
Improving transparency and communication with the public

Jessica believes the coroner’s office should not only serve the deceased but also protect the living through education, awareness, and community engagement.

Jessica has called Lewis County home since 2005 and has dedicated her career to serving its people during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Jessica has been in the medicolegal death investigation field for nearly 15 years. She began her work as an on-call Deputy Coroner in 2009, serving Lewis County through 2019. Her service continued as a Coroner Investigator from 2023 to 2025 in Cowlitz County, and she currently serves as a Medicolegal Death Investigator in Columbia County. In addition, she has been committed to the human services field since 2008, supporting individuals in times of crisis as a mental health professional.

Jessica is committed to serving Lewis County with integrity, empathy, and dedication.

Jessica's vision for success

Jessica believes in modernizing the coroner’s office, investing in required certification and ongoing training for staff, as well as fostering a culture of professional growth are essential to conducting thorough, accurate death investigations. By ensuring medicolegal investigators are well-trained and supported, the office can maintain high standards and adapt to evolving best practices. Building strong relationships with regional and state partners, medical professionals, and investigative resources also strengthens collaboration and access to expertise. Together, these efforts lead to more consistent, transparent, and reliable investigations while providing families with clear answers and helping the community better understand and prevent future loss of life.
